Intellectual Property

17 Jan

What does that mean?

Merriam-Webster.com says that Intellectual Property is: :

property (as an idea, invention, or process) that derives from the work of the mind or intellect

This may be something that someone may have invented, like a tool to help cut onions without crying.

It may also be something that you have created.  Like a painting, an essay, or a photograph.

What does it mean to use someone else’s photograph and call it your own?

There are people in this class, and in this school who are using other people’s work and calling it their own.  This is unacceptable.
